Gua Sha

24.00 $

Gua Sha is a type of stone that is slid across the face in a specific rhythm and movement to stimulate blood circulation and drain lymph fluid. The stone is made of rose quartz, which is believed to have beneficial mental and physical properties due to its powerful energy field.

  • Improved blood circulation prevents subcutaneous inflammation, reducing the risk of breakouts or pimples.
  • Once again, thanks to this blood circulation, you are working against the skin’s aging process. Don’t expect immediate results, but a daily ritual combined with the right products can prevent wrinkles and even visibly reduce them.
  • The Gua Sha stone also has a very relaxing effect—thanks to its massaging movements and draining effect. It relieves tension in the face as well as pain in the head and neck. It affects the subcutaneous muscle tissue, the fascia, and this has only beneficial effects on healing. (PS: for an extra relaxing effect, you can keep the stone in the refrigerator).
  • As your blood circulation is stimulated and toxins are actively eliminated, your skin also regains that healthy glow that no cream can give you.

Instructions for use:

As with other skincare rituals, there are of course some dos and don’ts.

  • First and foremost, it is important never to work on dry skin: always prepare your skin with a nourishing, active serum or facial oil.
  • Secondly, always “open” the neck area before you start, otherwise the toxins released cannot be properly eliminated. To do this, scrape the stone in an upward motion over your neck about ten times, which opens the lymphatic channels along your throat.
  • Then you can get to work: always start at the bottom of your face and work your way up. The exact movement you need to perform depends on the specific area you want to target and the shape of the stone.
  • Other things to avoid: do not hold the stone perpendicular to the skin, never push the skin (always scrape it), and do not apply too much pressure—your face may/should even be red afterwards, but the goal is not to bruise yourself.
